Who is your coach…

My name is John Hansen and I live in the beautiful town of Folsom, California, which is a terrific area for multisport – triathlon training. I am an very experienced, certified coach: USA Triathlon Level I and Level II, USA Swimming and USA Trck and Field Level 1 and USA Cycling Level 3. I have been racing and coaching since 1995. I coached many athletes to compete at National and World championships at all levels: Ironman Age World Championships, X-Terra Age World Championships, 70.3 Pro and Age World Championships, National Pro and Age Group National Championships and Collegiate Club National Championships.

As an athlete, I have qualified for National and World Championships across multiple race distances including Age Group Olympic, 70.3 and Kona 140.6.

These certifications, compliment my formal education which includes a Master’s degree (Exercise Physiology) and my formal work in the field of exercise physiology includes 5 years as an Exercise Physiologist at UC Davis Sports Performance and I have worked as a trainer since 1995, including with the Sacramento Police Department since 2003.
